Brother and Sister Overstreet started their ministry in 1983. After the couple completed their studies at Holmes Bible College in Greenville, South Carolina, they embarked on their mission to plant churches, spending their first term in Costa Rica, and their second term in Belize. Their mission has grown, with 40 Churches being planted in five Central American countries. Mission de Santidad Cristiana, was left in the capable hands of a National Ordained Missionary and Church planter, Reverend Alexis Dixon. Reverend Dixon and his wife, Deborah, have labored diligently for Christ. The National Pastors of Costa Rica say it's time for a Pastoral Training Center in the area. This would allow the men and women of Costa Rica that have felt the call into Pastoral Ministry, a chance to receive the proper training and to prepare them to become leaders of the many more Churches that could be planted if they had the proper leadership. The Overstreet's have always had a missions heart, even while Pastoring in the United States, this strong faith has lead them in the direction of building the Pastoral Training Center in Costa Rica. They hope you catch the vision with them as they step out by faith and start yet another work for Christ and His Church.

The location of the training center will be in Jimenez, between Guapiles and Guacimo. As you enter Costa Rica by plane, you will land in the capital city of San Jose. You will then travel through Braulio Carrillo National Park, crossing over the mountain and on to one of the most spectacular jungle roads in Costa Rica. On the road you will pass through Costa Rica's cattle country through the city of Guapiles and then Jimenez. American Ministries has secured 2.2 acres in this small town for the Pastoral Training Center, just awaiting the funds to begin construction.
